On February 4, 2020, the UBC Health council embarked on a Strategic Planning process for UBC Health.  Strategic Planning is the next step in moving UBC Health forward since the creation of the Office of the Vice-President Health in 2017 and the expansion of UBC Health’s mandate to include education, research and systems transformation across both the Vancouver and Okanagan campuses.   We are currently in the planning process and have begun stakeholder engagement and information gathering. As we move forward through the process, there will always be a place for you to participate and submit your thoughts and ideas.

Through the planning process, we hope to:

  • Gain a shared understanding of UBC Health’s Vision and Purpose
  • Clarify concrete priorities that demand a collaborative approach
  • Explore the role of UBC Health within a changing university, especially as it connects to UBC’s Strategic Plan “Shaping UBC’s Next Century”
  • Outline initiatives for these priority areas and develop a roadmap
  • Consider what this means for UBC Health organizationally and its model of interaction with academic units and other campus partners
