A new TBC @ UBC Network has launched to support the team-based primary healthcare transformation in BC with education, research, evaluation, and knowledge translation.

Supported by UBC Health, the network will build on previous work at UBC to advance team-based care (TBC) by engaging health professionals, health leaders, academics, policymakers, funding agencies, patients, and communities throughout BC. It will enable these partners to discuss and learn from each other about the on-the-ground needs, opportunities, and challenges regarding TBC design, research/evidence, pedagogy, policy, and integration. The network aims to create a generative space that brings people, needs, and ideas into relationship.

Consider joining the TBC @ UBC Network if you are:

  • working to affect health systems transformation and implement team-based models of care;
  • developing and implementing the educational supports needed to ensure the success of such initiatives; and/or
  • engaged in research related to TBC and its influence on the broader social determinants of health, healthy communities, and community engagement.
Panel Presentation

Tuesday, November 2, 2021
12:00-1:00 pm

The first network event is on November 2 and includes a panel presentation on work currently being done to support team-based care. Panel members are from the Innovation Support Unit in the UBC Faculty of Medicine, UBC Continuing Professional Development, and the BC Primary Health Care Research Network. The presentation will be followed by a discussion around the types of questions that remain unanswered and how the TBC@UBC Network might contribute to finding solutions, given the role of UBC in education and scholarship. Join the network to receive the Zoom details for the event.
